Our ship

Gallant, cargo schooner

Dedicated to sail shipping

Our first ship was built in Vlaardingen (Netherlands) at the Figee brothers’ yard and launched in 1916 under the name Jannetje Margaretha. The environmental impact of its construction (particularly in terms of embodied energy) has now been largely amortized, enabling truly carbon-free transport, all parameters considered.

Green shipping

Our shipping is really green: except for port maneuvers, we use no fossil fuels! Onboard electricity is supplied by solar panels. This model responds to the challenges of the ecological transition: we transport, without emissions, products that cannot be grown or manufactured in our delivery territories. By serving ports of all sizes, we get as close as possible to producers and consumers. Our stopovers are an opportunity to liven up local areas and bring local projects to life.
